Follow these easy steps to ensure that your interior painting project can meet your expectations.
- Remove small and fragile objects from rooms to be painted. This includes emptying out any furniture items, such as your china cabinet or book shelves, before we need to move them.
- Although we do cover and protect your furniture, if you happen to have an heirloom or other delicate furniture, consider removing them from the room.
- If you have heavy or cumbersome furniture that you would like us to move for you, just let us know beforehand so we can bring in any necessary help.
- Remove mirrors, art and posters from the walls. If you would like them to remain in the same location, simply leave the hardware in place. If not, by taking out the hardware you are signalling us to repair the holes before painting.
- Unplug and remove any electronics. We usually prefer that our customers remove the valuable items themselves – we’ll take care of the rest.
- If we are painting the baby’s room, it is recommended that you set up a temporary changing station as well as keep a couple extra sets of clothing on hand.
- Unless we are repairing the ceiling in the bedroom, you can place items on top of the bed and we will cover everything with plastic. However, if we need to paint the closets, we ask that everything be removed.
- As for the bathrooms, you’ll want to remove any toiletries or medications you will need for the day as well as remove any items from the cabinets if they are to be painted.
- While we try to have your kitchen done as soon as possible, it is best to plan on not having access for at least 24 hours. Ensure that the cupboards have been emptied if we are to paint them as well as clearing off any appliances that need to be moved.
At Evolve Painting, we try to be as flexible as possible so if you need a hand moving larger items or simply have questions, don’t hesitate to call us beforehand.
